A PAINTED OSTRICH EGG, TURKEY, 20TH CENTURY - The egg painted with two panels decorated with gilt floral motifs enclosing two views of al-Masjid al-haram in Mecca and al-Masjid al-Nabawi in Medina. Further stylized with gilt flower heads and foliage on a blue ground. Height circa 21 cm.
