The frame is richly ornamented with a glossy, gold-leaf-effect finish. A large relief carving in the shape of a chalice or fruit vase, flanked by scrolls and acanthus leaves, stands out at the top. The sides feature straight, fluted moldings, finished at the corners with multi-petaled carved flowers and bud or pinecone motifs at the top.
