American Industrial Multi-Drawer Workshop Chest and an Assortment of Mechanical Parts, approx 7 ft tall - This lot features a tall, narrow American industrial multi-drawer workshop chest constructed from pine and finished in a worn ochre-orange paint. The chest is designed with a complex arrangement of storage compartments, including six small cupboard doors at the top arranged in three pairs and secured by horizontal iron slide-bolt latches. Below the cupboards are two half-width drawers, followed by a middle section of six full-width drawers of varying depths. The base of the unit contains three small side-by-side drawers. The drawers are fitted with recessed brass-tone campaign-style rectangular backplates and drop-ring pulls. The construction utilizes nailed butt and rabbet joints. Included with the chest is an assortment of mechanical and industrial items found within the drawers and adjacent to the unit. This collection includes various colored glass and plastic lighting lenses in blue, green, purple, and amber, some bearing labels reading EXTERIOR USE ONLY. Also included are heavy iron engine components such as multiple rocker arms and a long drive shaft, along with a group of heavy-duty hardware including carriage bolts, nuts, square washers, and a vintage door knob assembly. An assortment of red-painted Gravely tractor components is also part of the lot, comprising a mower deck housing, a blade, and an attachment drive unit. One component bears a partial Gravely manufacturer label with a serial and model number.
