Hollywood Regency Style Faux-Bamboo Desk, 45 x 20 inch top - A mid-20th-century flip-top desk or vanity designed in the Hollywood Regency style. The frame and four legs are constructed from material molded and painted to resemble bamboo poles with characteristic nodes. The rectangular top is split longitudinally and joined by a full-length metal piano hinge, allowing the surface to be opened. The apron features an open diagonal lattice or trellis pattern on three sides. A two-tiered shelf assembly is integrated into the lower left side of the piece. The entire item is finished in an off-white paint. No maker markings, labels, or stamps are visible in the photographs.
