Bidspirit auction | An Assortment of Austin America

An Assortment of Austin America Front Grilles and Automotive Panels - This lot contains automotive components for an Austin America, a model marketed in North America by British Leyland between 1968 and 1971. The assortment includes two front radiator grilles and several large, textured black panels. The grilles feature a chrome-plated metal surround with horizontal bars and black plastic mesh inserts. A rectangular badge is mounted at the top center of the grille frame with the name AUSTIN in silver capital letters. A secondary script emblem reading America is attached to the mesh insert. The black panels are constructed of a textured vinyl or sound-deadening material, likely intended for use as interior trim, trunk liners, or hood insulation. These parts are specific to the US-export variant of the BMC ADO16 platform.
