RICHEY & HAMILTON / PALATINE, WV Stoneware Crock 1 gallon, THERE IS A CRACK AS PICTURED, it is evident on the inside as well. - A salt-glazed stoneware jar of tall, The jar is constructed with a thick, slightly flared rim and exhibits the characteristic orange peel texture associated with the salt-glazing process. The front face is decorated with a stenciled cobalt blue design featuring a circular wreath of short dashes. Within this wreath is a stenciled inscription in cobalt blue; the top arc reads A blurred blue mark, possibly a capacity number, occupies the center of the wreath. The interior of the jar shows horizontal throwing ridges and some dark residue. Height: Approximately 9.5 - 10.5 inches.
