Robinson Ransbottom Blue Crown 3-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Lid and Bale Handles, lid appears to be a mismatch - This 3-gallon cylindrical stoneware storage crock is a production piece from the Robinson Ransbottom Pottery Company (RRP Co) of Roseville, Ohio. The vessel features a slightly tapered form ending in a flat, unglazed base. It is finished in a light cream-colored Bristol glaze. The front of the crock is decorated with a cobalt blue stenciled crown containing the number 3, indicating its liquid capacity. The crock includes its matching inset ceramic lid and metal wire bale handles attached to integral ceramic ears. These utility crocks were a staple of American kitchens in the early to mid-20th century.
