Late Victorian American Quartersawn Oak Marble-Top Washstand, comes with contents, approx 33” wide - An American Late Victorian quartersawn oak washstand, dating to the late 19th century, featuring a thick salmon-colored marble top with rounded corners and a bullnose edge. The case is constructed with two stacked drawers above a two-door cabinet. The drawers are joined with machine-made pin-and-scallop Knapp joints. The cabinet section includes two doors with raised panels and recessed side panels on the main body. The piece is set on a molded plinth base. Most original hardware is present, consisting of cast-metal scrolling foliate drawer pulls and a circular metal escutcheon on the right-hand cabinet door. The interior drawers and cabinet base are lined with vintage adhesive shelf paper.
