17 Jewel Nacar Wristwatch No band, Waltham 15 Jewel 10867738 inoperable, and 3 watch cases - This collection of horological items features an American Waltham Watch Co. open-face pocket watch and a Nacar Swiss-made wristwatch head. The Waltham pocket watch contains a 15-jewel manual wind movement, serial number 10887738, dating to approximately 1901-1902. The movement is decorated with a damaskeened pattern and is marked Safety Pinion. It features a white enamel dial with Roman numeral hour markers, an outer minute track with Arabic numerals at five-minute intervals, and a sub-seconds dial at the six o'clock position. The blued steel hands are spade and whip style. The silver-toned case back displays a worn engraved architectural scene. The Nacar wristwatch head features a gold-toned base metal case with a stainless steel back inscribed Swiss Made, Waterproof, Incabloc, and Antimagnetic. The dial is off-white with applied gold-toned Arabic numerals, a red central sweep seconds hand, and is marked 17 Jewels. Also included is a silver-toned metal case inscribed Eng. Dept. U.S.A. 1918 on the reverse, a pocket watch case containing a black-and-white portrait photograph of two children, and one loose plain metal case cover.
