Antique Set of Five Spindle-Back Side Chairs and a Drop-Leaf Dining Table - A set of five spindle-back side chairs and one matching drop-leaf dining table in the American farmhouse style. The chairs feature a curved, flat-top crest rail mortised with six vertical spindles. Each chair is constructed with a contoured saddle-shaped wooden seat, turned front legs, and splayed back legs joined by a box stretcher system. The accompanying drop-leaf table consists of a rectangular center section with two hinged leaves, supported by four turned legs that coordinate with the chair design. The pieces are crafted from mixed northern hardwoods and finished in a medium amber-brown tone. No maker marks or labels were observed.
