Camillus Jet Pilot Survival Fixed Blade Knife with 5 Inch Blade April 1968 - This lot features a U.S. military pilot survival knife manufactured by the Camillus Cutlery Company. The knife is configured with a 5 inch clip point carbon steel blade featuring a serrated sawback spine and a single fuller on both sides. The handle is constructed of stacked leather washers shaped for a secure grip, terminated by a heavy steel hexagonal pommel and protected by a straight steel crossguard. Key markings are located on the hexagonal pommel and specify CAMILLUS, N.Y., and 4-1968, identifying the production month and year during the Vietnam War era. The knife is accompanied by its matching brown leather sheath which includes an integrated pouch for a sharpening stone and is reinforced with a metal backing plate and rivets to prevent the blade from piercing the leather. Based on the provided scale, the blade measures 5 inches and the overall length is approximately 9.5 inches. The sharpening stone is missing from the sheath pouch.
