Bidspirit auction | An Assortment of Vintage Cast

An Assortment of Vintage Cast Metal Toy Figures and a Toy Airplane - This collection consists of multiple cast metal toy figures and one twin-engine toy airplane. The pieces are produced from slush-cast lead or white metal, a construction method characteristic of American dime store toys from the 1930s and 1940s. The figures represent diverse subjects, including military personnel in dark uniforms with red highlights in various action poses, a bare-chested worker with a sledgehammer, and two other uniformed civilian or service figures. One unpainted silver-tone figure is depicted holding a futuristic ray gun. The red twin-engine transport or bomber-style airplane features embossed markings on the underside including V-174 and MADE IN U.S.A. The V-174 model number is associated with the Barclay Manufacturing Company. A US five-cent coin is included in the images for scale. Figures: approximately 2.5 to 3 inches in height.
