KENTON AREA PICKUP- Antique A. T. Ferrell Clipper Grain Seed and Bean Cleaner - This is an antique stationary grain, seed, and bean cleaner, commonly known as a fanning mill, manufactured by A. T. Ferrell and Co. of Saginaw, Michigan. The machine is constructed with a wooden frame and housing containing a system of internal screens and sieves used to clean harvested seed. It features a belt-driven mechanical system with external wooden and metal drive pulleys. The wooden panels bear several original stenciled markings including MANUFACTURED BY A. T. FERRELL & CO. SAGINAW MICH and GRAIN SEED and BEAN CLEANER. A faded central stencil on the main housing identifies the unit as the Clipper model. The machine is designed for stationary operation using an external power source.
