Stoddart, 1883 - A late 19th-century hardcover book, ”The Yellowstone National Park,” authored by Herman Haupt Jr., M.D., Ph.D., and copyrighted 1883 by J.M. Stoddart, New York & Philadelphia. The dark grey cloth cover features an Art Nouveau or Victorian-style design with gilt and black ink illustrations depicting a stag, eagle, waterfall, and landscape, along with the title, author, and publisher. The rear cover includes a distinctive integral envelope-style flap. The internal pages contain descriptive text and numerous black and white woodcut illustrations of Yellowstone scenery.
