Abraham Lincoln The War Years by Carl Sandburg, Four-Volume Set, 1939 - A four-volume set of ”ABRAHAM LINCOLN The War Years” by Carl Sandburg, published in 1939 by Harcourt, Brace and Company, Inc. The set is uniformly bound in dark, textured cloth with gilt lettering on the spines for the title, author, and volume numbers (I, II, III, IV). An embossed Carl Sandburg signature is present on the front covers. Internal copyright pages confirm publication in 1939 by Harcourt, Brace and Company, Inc., with earlier copyrights from 1936 and 1937 by Carl Sandburg. Typography is credited to Robert Josephy, and printing by The Murray Printing Company in the USA.
