Rosa Bonheur (after), 'Buffalo Bill / The Last of the Great Scouts' Lithograph - A large multi-panel lithograph after Rosa Bonheur's famous painting, 'Buffalo Bill / The Last of the Great Scouts, ' depicting Colonel William F. Cody on horseback. This late 19th-century realism style print features an equestrian portrait of a bearded man in a hat and fringed buckskin-style jacket riding a light-colored, spotted horse against a green landscape. Inscribed 'Rosa Bonheur -1889-' at the bottom center. A partially visible inscription 'CHISHOLM'S COMPANY BUFFALO NY' is present in the bottom left. An affixed label on the print reiterates the context: 'The last of the great scouts. An exact reproduction of Rosa Bonheur's famous painting of Col. W. F. Cody and horse.' Dimensions appear to exceed 36 inches in both height and width.
