A Pair of PM Craftsman Brass Swallow Bookends, Model 402B - A pair of PM Craftsman brass bookends, model 402B, depicting stylized swallows in a dynamic diving or swooping posture. Each cast metal bookend features fanned wings and tail, characteristic of an Art Deco or early-to-mid 20th-century aesthetic. The surface exhibits a polished, golden metallic finish. The rectangular bases have a textured, hammered pattern and are marked '© PMC' and '402 B' on the underside. Remnants of felt or fabric pads are present on the bases. The interior of one base reveals a hollow casting with a rough, dark grey filling, likely lead or similar weighting material. Height: 6.25 inches
