A Pair of Art Deco Cast Metal Female Figure Bookends - A pair of cast metal bookends, likely iron or spelter, designed in a stylized Art Deco or early Modernist aesthetic. Each features a seated female figure with a bob haircut, posed with knees drawn up and arms resting on her shins. The figures are painted in a distressed pale yellow or cream finish, atop a rectangular dark brown painted metal base. The underside of the bases reveals a hollow construction and a silver-grey finish. No manufacturer's marks or inscriptions are visible. Height: 6 inches (15.24 cm)
