Vintage Tissot PR 516 Electronic Stainless Steel Wristwatch, circa 1970s - A Tissot PR 516 Electronic wristwatch, circa 1970s. The watch features a hexagonal stainless steel case with a fluted bezel and a dark blue sunburst dial. The dial displays applied baton hour markers, a date window at 3 o'clock, and is marked ”TISSOT”, ”SWISS”, ”ELECTRONIC”, and ”PR 516” (in red). It is fitted with a black textured leather strap, revealing a tan leather underside. The movement is an electronic caliber, visible when the octagonal, numbered stainless steel caseback is removed. The interior of the caseback is marked ”CHs. TISSOT & FILS”, ”ACIER INOXYDABLE” (Stainless Steel), and includes the Tissot logo with ”FAB. SUISSE SWISS MADE” (Manufactured in Switzerland, Swiss Made), along with model/serial numbers ”40603-1X” and hand-etched service marks. Overall length (watch and strap): 7.5 inches (19 cm) untested needs battery.
