Vintage Gamewell Fire Alarm Telegraph Station, City of Geneva - A vintage Gamewell Fire Alarm Telegraph Station, wall-mounted and constructed of cast iron, finished in a heavily distressed red paint. The design features a pedimented top adorned with a relief of a clenched fist emitting lightning bolts, indicative of a late 19th to early 20th-century industrial aesthetic. The front is cast with the text ”FIRE ALARM TELEGRAPH STATION” and ”THE GAMEWELL FIRE ALARM TELEGRAPH CO. NEW YORK.” A smaller attached box below the main door has ”PAT. APPLIED FOR” partially visible. Inside the hinged main door, an inner mechanism is revealed with instructions ”PULL LEVER DOWN ONCE LET GO.” Additional labels present include ”City Of Geneva” and ”Geneva F.D.,” indicating its original municipality, along with a ”Billy Kerr” sticker and current auction inventory tags.
