Vintage Gamewell Municipal Fire Alarm Box, City of Binghamton, No. 312 Style 51 - A vintage Style 51 with Key Gamewell municipal fire alarm box. Double Door Pole Bracket. Constructed primarily of painted metal, likely cast iron or steel, with a distinctive gabled top. The exterior features visible text including ”GAMEWELL” at the top, ”FOR FIRE” above a pull handle mechanism marked ”OPEN THEN PULL DOWN HOOK,” and ”City of Binghamton.” Below, a panel displays raised numbers ”312” and manufacturer's text ”THE GAMEWELL CO. NEWTON MASSACHUSETTS.” One side of the box prominently features the word ”FIRE” vertically in large red letters on a cream background. Internally, the box houses a visible mechanical clockwork mechanism under a clear cover, an electronic circuit board, and a black telephone handset, all indicative of an early-to-mid 20th-century design.
