These items are crafted from various materials, including fabric (silk or satin-like ribbons with metallic fringe), embroidered cloth (a black circular rosette), and gilt or brass-toned metal for badges, pins, and medals. Notable pieces include convention attendance ribbons for the ”18 ANNUAL CONVENTION NEW YORK STATE FIREMEN'S ASSOCIATION” in Watertown, NY, August 1890, and a ”FIRE DEPARTMENT of WATERTOWN, N.Y.” ribbon featuring crossed axes, ladder, and helmet.
