Three Antique Electrical Communication Components by Utica Fire Alarm Telegraph Co. - A group of three antique electrical communication components by Utica Fire Alarm Telegraph Co. The grouping includes a dark-stained wooden portable field unit, a reddish-stained wooden wall-mounted unit, and a white-painted wooden box housing a magneto generator. The portable unit features a leather carrying strap, a crank handle, and a metal speaker grille, bearing a shield-shaped label marked ”M'F'D BY UTICA FIRE ALARM TELEGRAPH CO. UTICA N.Y.” on its front, with a faint serial number ”33000...” visible on its top. The wall-mounted unit, with its interior visible, presents a complex array of internal wiring, coils, and terminal blocks, and externally includes a metal receiver/mouthpiece, a hook switch, and two push buttons; its mouthpiece is inscribed ”UTICA FIRE ALARM TEL. CO. UTICA N.Y. NO. 31633”. The third component is a simple white-painted wooden box revealing a three-coil magneto generator mounted on a small wooden base.
