Vintage Gamewell Cast Iron Fire Alarm Box, Geneva, NY - A vintage Gamewell Style 51 fire alarm box WITH KEY, manufactured by The Gamewell Co. of Newton, Massachusetts. This heavy gauge metal box features a distinctive peaked, house-shaped top and is painted red. The front displays raised white lettering reading ”GAMEWELL” across the arch and ”FOR FIRE” below. A central white panel provides operating instructions: ”OPEN THEN PULL DOWN HOOK, ” with a small sticker above indicating ”City Of Geneva.” Manufacturer markings ”THE GAMEWELL CO. NEWTON MASS.” are visible at the bottom. A key is present in the lock on the left side. A black zip tie secures a string with a blank tag, marked ”F9” on its reverse, to the pull mechanism.
