Vintage Scene-in-Action Forest Fire Motion Lamp - A vintage Scene-in-Action Forest Fire Motion Lamp, likely dating from the1930's. This electric motion lamp features a dark patinated, ornate cast metal base and a corresponding pierced dome-shaped top. The primary cylindrical shade displays a printed, illuminated forest scene with evergreen trees and a small cabin, rendered in autumnal or sunset hues on a translucent material such as celluloid or heat-resistant paper. Inside, a secondary patterned cylindrical sleeve with an abstract, wave-like design is visible, intended to rotate around the central light source to create a dynamic ”fire” or ”moving” effect. The lamp is equipped with a braided electrical cord and an older two-prong plug.
