Dietz King lantern, constructed primarily of steel or galvanized iron with a clear glass globe, likely dating to the early 20th century, circa 1907. The upper metal band is embossed with ”AMERICAN LA FRANCE FIRE ENGINE CO. ELMIRA, N.Y.” The clear glass globe features ”NEW YORK” and ”DIETZ” in an Old English script, and ”DIETZ” is also visible on the metal fuel fount.
