Three Harden's Star Hand Grenade Fire Extinguishers, circa 1870s-1890s - A cluster of three antique Harden's Star Hand Grenade Fire Extinguishers. Each spherical, deeply ribbed vibrant blue glass globe is contained within an aged iron wire frame, with the frames connecting the three units. Each globe features a prominent neck with remnants of a stopper or sealant material, and is embossed with a five-pointed star above the text ”STAR HAND GRENADE” encircling the star. These items were designed to be thrown into fires, releasing their extinguishing contents. Height of individual globe: With the Original Holder.
