Fred J. Miller Patented Brass Fireman's Speaking Trumpet, New York - A brass fireman's speaking trumpet manufactured and patented by Fred J. Miller of New York. This large, conical horn is constructed from polished yellow metal, featuring a wide, ribbed circular base, a gradually tapering conical body, and a smaller, flared mouthpiece. An oval-shaped plaque is affixed to the lower body, embossed with the text: ”MANF'D & FRED J. MILLER NEW YORK PAT'D”. Two fixed rings are present on the body, one near the base and another higher up.
