Steam Gauge & Lantern U.S. Brass Tubular Kerosene Lantern - Steam Gauge & Lantern U.S. Brass Tubular Kerosene Lantern. Constructed from brass or bronze with a clear glass globe. The top plate is embossed circularly with ”U.S. OF G. & L. CO.” and ”TUBULAR.” The underside of the base is stamped with ”PATENTS” followed by the dates: MAY 23 '71, JULY 25 '81, MARCH 3 '83, JUNE 8 '85, and OCT. 26 '86, indicating a late 19th-century origin.
