The ribbons are printed with various designs, prominently featuring ”1837” and ”1887” dates, specific fire companies such as ”Edwin Cook Hose,” ”Rescue H.&L. Co.,” and ”Citizens Hose Co.” (of Hammondsport, N.Y.). One ribbon details officers including Chief Wm. E. Howell, First Assistant R.B. Burgess, and Second Assistant R.J. Davison.
