The stone, commonly referred to in the trade as Dragon's Breath Glass or a fire opal simulant, displays striking internal schiller and play-of-color, flashing intense electric blue, violet, and red over a dark reddish-purple body. The stone is secured in a simple bezel setting, which is framed by a wide, openwork border executed in a classic Greek key (meander) design.
