Several of the gilded spoon bowls bear engraved cursive inscriptions, including the legible example ”Da Passi.” The presentation case features a dark, textured exterior and is lined internally with green velvet and cream satin. The cream satin lining of the lid is marked in gold with the retailer’s address: Albion House / 32 QUAI GAMBETTA / BOULOGNE S/MER, indicating the set was sold by a vendor in Boulogne-sur-Mer, France.
