Isle of Man 1979 Millennium of Tynwald Solid Sterling Silver Proof Five Crowns Set - A collection of five numismatic coins comprising the Isle of Man 1979 ”Millennium of Tynwald” Solid Sterling Silver Proof Five Crowns set. This set was issued by the Isle of Man Government to commemorate the 1,000th Anniversary of Tynwald. Each coin is struck in Proof quality Sterling Silver and is individually encapsulated in a clear plastic bezel. The obverses feature the profile of ELIZABETH II and the year 1979, along with the inscription ISLE OF MAN. The reverses feature five unique historical designs related to the island's history, each marked MILLENNIUM OF TYNWALD and ONE CROWN. The set is presented in its original hinged presentation case, which is covered in red velvet or flocked material, and includes official documentation. The accompanying certificate confirms the Sterling Silver Proof status and notes a world issue limit of 10,000 sets. The set also includes an informational card detailing the diameter of the crowns.
