1976 Canadian Montreal Olympic Sterling Silver Four Coin Set 4 ozt - A collection of four uncirculated commemorative silver coins issued for the 1976 Montréal XXI Olympiad, designated as Series IV, Olympic Track and Field Sports. The set includes two $5 Dollars and two $10 Dollars coins, all composed of 92.5% silver (sterling silver) and 7.5% copper alloy. The obverse of each coin features the portrait of Elizabeth II, dated 1975. The reverse designs relate to Track and Field events and indigenous motifs, inscribed ”Montréal 1976” and ”Olympiade XXI Olympiad.” The $5 coins (Coin #13 and #14) depict hurdles and the marathon run, while the $10 coins (Coin #15 and #16) depict the shot put and the javelin throw. The set is presented in its original plush presentation case with a gold-toned exterior and red velvet interior.
