Tiffany Studios Grapevine Pattern Bronze and Slag Glass Inkwell - A Tiffany Studios 'Grapevine' pattern inkwell, executed in the Art Nouveau/Arts and Crafts style. The piece is constructed of patinated metal, likely bronze or brass, featuring a square form supported by four small ball feet. The metal casing exhibits decorative beaded borders along the top and bottom edges. The sides and top are inset with opalescent green and white slag glass panels, overlaid by openwork metal detailing depicting organic vine and branch motifs. The inkwell features a hinged, round metal lid decorated in raised relief with a grape and leaf pattern. The base of the metal structure is stamped ”TIFFANY STUDIOS NEW YORK.” The interior contains one removable clear glass ink pot insert. The base of the glass insert is molded with concentric rings of patent dates and the text ”THE DAVIS,” surrounded by dates including ”FEB. 14, '93” and ”JUN. 7, '98.”
