Each piece depicts the bust of a fashionable woman wearing a distinctive hat. Details include cold-painted facial features, applied pearl necklaces, and earrings. The grouping includes a figure in a red ruffled hat with applied glitter accents, a figure in a white wide-brim hat with a sculpted white glove, a figure in a light blue cap with a checkered collar, and a figure in a broad green floppy hat. Bases exhibit various markings typical of this period, including printed numbers such as 2359, 2359E, 153B, and C7494. One example is marked JAPAN, and the green hat example is molded with the designation COPYWARE.
