Art Nouveau Painted Metal and Slag Glass Boudoir Lamp with Bird Panels - An early 20th-century Art Nouveau style boudoir or parlor lamp. The lamp features a cast metal base and shade framework. The base is molded with foliate and floral relief designs and retains a distressed antique white or cream painted finish. The six-sided polygonal shade is constructed of a cast metal frame, painted in contrasting distressed cream and dark teal/blue-green tones, with openwork foliate detailing. The shade panels are composed of Slag Glass, confirmed by user-provided facts, which are decorated with transfer-printed or hand-painted depictions of songbirds perched on flowering branches. The lamp is currently fitted with a single socket and is wired for electricity.
