Vintage Elgin H. G. Culver 18 Size Pocket Watch Serial 174260 - Works with Key Single vintage American pocket watch manufactured by the Elgin National Watch Company. The watch is presented in a yellow metal hunter-style case, likely gold-filled , featuring extensive engine-turned decoration. The outer back cover displays a spiraled guilloché pattern surrounding a central un-monogrammed cartouche. The inner covers also feature spiraled guilloché work. The white enamel dial utilizes black Roman numerals, blued steel hands, and a recessed subsidiary seconds register at the six o’clock position. The dial is signed ”ELGIN NAT'L WATCH CO.” The gilt movement is marked ”H. G. Culver,” ”Patent Pinion,” and ”Elgin, Ill.,” bearing the serial number 174260. Visible markings inside the case include the initials ”G.W.L.” and the number 22700.
