A Gothic Revival Brass and Colored Glass Processional Lantern - A single antique portable or processional lantern constructed primarily of brass or bronze in a late 19th to early 20th-century Gothic Revival style. The hexagonal body features decorative pierced brass tracery framing various panels of glass, including frosted or opalescent panels and at least one colored ruby red panel. One side includes a hinged door providing access to the interior, which contains a central depression likely intended for an oil font or candle. The lantern is topped by a ventilated dome cap and a brass finial, above which a small brass bell is suspended from the frame supports. A turned wooden grip handle is mounted between two vertical brass uprights adorned with foliate piercing. The lantern rests on a tiered, circular base supported by three decorative brass claw feet. Faint, illegible markings are visible on the underside of the base.
