These lamps are constructed from polished brass, featuring a baluster-form pedestal rising from a wide circular foot. The pedestal supports a decorative, bulbous reservoir topped with a removable burner mechanism. The style is characteristic of Continental lighting from the mid-to-late 19th century. A critical marking is present on the adjustable wick wheel of the lamp on the left, reading ”L'EMPEREUR & BERNARD,” indicating probable French manufacture. Approximately 11.5 inches tall.
