Antique Nailsea End of Day Glass Parade Cane - A single antique End of Day glass parade cane or walking stick, attributed stylistically to the Nailsea tradition. The cane is free-blown and features a long, cylindrical shaft terminating in a shepherd's crook handle. The body is constructed from clear glass with a slight sea-green tint, internally decorated with spiraling latticino threads. The decoration consists of interwoven opaque white or pale blue threads and thin, dark reddish-brown threads, encased within the clear glass structure. This item was reportedly found in the basement of an Old Estate in Elmira NY. No manufacturer's marks or signatures are visible.
