A Collection of 19th-Century United States Silver and Nickel Coins
A collection of 19th-century United States coinage featuring several denominations and metal compositions. The group includes nickel three-cent pieces dated 1865 with a Liberty head obverse and Roman numeral III reverse. Also present are Seated Liberty half dimes dated 1853 with arrows at the date. The assortment includes a silver three-cent piece, or trime, displaying a six-pointed star obverse and Roman numeral III reverse. A heavily worn and corroded Seated Liberty coin, likely a dime or half dime, is dated 1872 or 1873. The coins are struck in silver and nickel-copper alloys.

All items are in heavily circulated condition. Visible wear includes loss of fine detail, surface scratches, oxidation, and pitting. One coin shows significant corrosion and surface degradation.
