Whitehead and Hoag World War I Jersey City Commemorative Pinback Button with Ribbon, 1918 - This World War I commemorative pinback button was produced by The Whitehead and Hoag Company of Newark, New Jersey. The circular celluloid-covered metal button features blue text reading Jersey City Wishes You Godspeed Boys of 1918 surrounding a single blue star on a cream ground. A woven fabric ribbon depicting the American flag is suspended from the bottom of the pin. The reverse side retains the original paper backing for The Whitehead and Hoag Co. and includes an Allied Printing Trades Council union label. 3.5 inches total length
