M. J. Tobias Liverpool Silver Key-Wind Pocket Watch - An antique pocket watch by M. J. Tobias, Liverpool. This 19th-century timepiece features an ornate, floral-engraved case and a silver-toned dial with raised Roman numeral indices, a decorative foliate center, and a sub-seconds dial at the six o'clock position. The internal cuvette is professionally engraved with the serial number No. 2823, CYLINDER ESCAPEMENT, FOUR JEWELS, and M. J. TOBIAS Liverpool. The key-wind movement is constructed with gilt brass plates and steel components, including a regulator scale marked with R and S. The interior of the case back shows matching serial numbers and the hallmarks VF and C.
