1880 United States Morgan Silver Dollar - This 1880 United States Morgan Silver Dollar was struck at the Philadelphia Mint. The obverse features the George T. Morgan design of a left-facing profile of Lady Liberty wearing a Phrygian cap adorned with a wreath of wheat and cotton. The profile is encircled by the motto E PLURIBUS UNUM, thirteen stars representing the original colonies, and the date 1880 at the base. The reverse depicts an eagle with outspread wings clutching an olive branch and arrows, partially enclosed by a laurel wreath. Inscriptions include UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, IN GOD WE TRUST, and ONE DOLLAR. The absence of a mint mark below the wreath confirms its mintage in Philadelphia.
