A Group of 1964 Kennedy Half Dollars - A group of Kennedy half dollars struck in 1964. Each coin is composed of 90 percent silver. The obverse features a left-facing portrait of President John F. Kennedy with the inscription LIBERTY along the upper edge, the motto IN GOD WE TRUST across the center, and the date 1964 at the base. The reverse depicts the presidential seal consisting of a heraldic eagle with a shield, clutching an olive branch and a bundle of arrows. Inscriptions on the reverse include UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, HALF DOLLAR, and E PLURIBUS UNUM on a scroll above the eagle.
