The obverse of each coin features the design by Adolph A. Weinman depicting Lady Liberty walking toward a rising sun, carrying branches of laurel and oak. Inscriptions include LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRUST, and the respective mint years. The reverse of each coin displays an eagle perched on a mountain pine branch with unfolded wings.
