2001 United States Mint Silver Proof Set - A set of coins from the United States Mint, issued in 2001, housed in two protective plastic display cases. One case contains a Lincoln cent, a Jefferson nickel, a Roosevelt dime, a Kennedy half dollar, and a Sacagawea dollar coin. The second case features five 50 State Quarters representing New York, North Carolina, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Kentucky. The Roosevelt dime, the five State Quarters, and the Kennedy half dollar are struck in 90 percent silver and 10 percent copper. The other coins are composed of their standard proof-finish materials: copper-plated zinc for the cent, cupro-nickel for the nickel, and manganese-brass clad for the dollar. All coins feature a proof finish with frosted relief and mirror-like backgrounds. The collection includes the original cardboard outer box with official United States Mint branding and a printed specification card.
