These coins are struck in 90 percent silver. The Washington quarters include various dates such as 1946, 1950, 1952, 1953, 1954, 1959, 1962, and 1964. The Standing Liberty quarters feature a standing figure of Liberty on the obverse, though these examples show significant wear. The Washington quarters feature the profile of George Washington on the obverse. All coins include standard inscriptions such as LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRUST, and UNITED STATES OF AMERICA QUARTER DOLLAR. The reverse of the coins features an eagle in various poses according to the design type. Mint marks, such as the D for the Denver Mint, are visible on the reverse of several specimens.
