A Collection of 1964 and 1964-D Kennedy Half Dollars - A collection of United States Kennedy Half Dollar coins dated 1964. Struck in 90% silver, the obverse of each coin features the left-facing profile of President John F. Kennedy with the inscriptions LIBERTY and IN GOD WE TRUST. The reverse depicts the presidential seal with the inscriptions UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and HALF DOLLAR. Several specimens in the group bear the D mint mark on the reverse, indicating production at the Denver Mint. The lot includes a pair of coins accompanied by a handwritten note reading D Proof.
